Electrician Master Licensed

Position Overview

To inspect, plan and coordinate the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, electrical components and equipment at CFA Kinross Business Office Facilities. The role complies with all applicable department policies, procedures, MIOSHA standards and laws while performing required duties. The position instructs and supervises skilled, semi‑skilled and unskilled prisoners and staff in performing these duties, utilizes and instructs lower level workers in the proper use of various tools to effectively accomplish these duties.

The position develops material orders and specifications as well as monitors material inventories, and processes and monitors work requests and preventive maintenance database. The position requires travel, which could include overnight stays.

• High school completion.
• No specific type or amount of experience beyond that required for licensure for Electrician Master Licensed E10.
• One year of electrical trade experience equivalent to an Electrician Master Licensed E10 for Electrician Master Licensed 11.

• Valid State of Michigan LARA Master Electrician's License.
• Travel, possibly overnight stays.
• Drug and alcohol test within 24 hours of conditional offer.
• Compliance with ethical standards and reporting of any possible conflict of interest.

The Department of Corrections may screen out job applicants who have been convicted of a felony in accordance with Public Act 191 of 2017. Applicants who have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony are ineligible for employment with the Department of Corrections until satisfactory completion of any sentence imposed, including parole or probation.
