Electrical Journeyman

Upkeep and service of the electrical equipment used throughout the plant. Maintain and service of all production equipment, controls, MCC, power distribution, and lighting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance work orders and repair work as requested.
• Troubleshooting electrical equipment and controls.
• Perform installation and repairs as needed within code requirements.
• Run or repair conduit and associated hardware and wiring.
• Adhere to safe work practices
• Assist maintenance and technicians with troubleshooting
• Document and record settings of equipment as needed
• Provide information to operators and mechanics to ensure correct operation and maintenance of equipment
• Attend training as required by the company
• Advise management on best practices/optimization

Qualifications:

• Must be a State of Michigan Licensed Journeyman Electrician
• 2 year of Industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Comprehension and application of the NEC
• Must be knowledgeable with motors, motor controls, and circuits
• Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs: ability to troubleshoot inputs and outputs
• Basic knowledge of VFDs
• Must have knowledge of lighting and emergency lighting systems
• Must be able to work on a ladder or lift without accommodation
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to use electrical schematics in troubleshooting equipment
