Field Service Technician

Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Romulus, MI. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air compressors and related equipment at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine Maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The technician will document service activities, communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams, and follow company and industry safety procedures.

The role also involves on-call support, travel to nearby customer sites, and working collaboratively with other technicians and technical staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including experience working with tools, machinery, or industrial equipment.
• Basic electrical knowledge, such as understanding circuits, controls, and safe work practices around energized equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently in the field.
• Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members in a professional manner.
• Commitment to safety, including adherence to OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to travel to customer sites in the Belleville, MI area and surrounding regions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in motor controls, mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-years minimal experience in field service, industrial maintenance.
• Experience in Industrial and/or commercial HVAC with Certificate a bonus
• Ability to lift and move equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in various industrial settings.
