Journeyman Electrician ($5,000 sign-on bonus + performance bonuses + housing assistance

Olson Electric is growing and hiring Journeyman Electricians to join their team in Houghton, Michigan.

• Four-day workweek:
  Monday–Thursday (8am-6:30pm).
• $30 – $40 per hour based on experience and skills.
• PLUS $5,000 sign-on bonus.
• PLUS housing assistance. 3 months housing assistance or direct reimbursement giving you time to find a place to live for such things as a security deposit, first month’s rent, or realtor help.

• Are you a Journeyman Electrician in another state? No worries. We will provide paid Michigan licensing assistance for out-of-state electricians.

The ideal candidate is dependable, skilled, safety-minded, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

• Michigan licensed Journeyman Electrician required.
• Solid electrical experience required.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, materials, and safe work practices.
• Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test electrical systems.
• Understanding of electrical code compliance.
• Ability to read and follow plans, specifications, and project instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• A responsible, honest, and professional approach to each job.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to be available for emergency call-outs if needed.
• Someone able to represent Olson Electric with honesty, integrity, and pride in workmanship.
