Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, and system tests to ensure optimal performance. - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with generators. Identify root causes of malfunctions and implement effective solutions. - Testing:
Conduct load tests and other performance assessments to ensure generators operate efficiently and reliably. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventories. - Customer Support:
Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of their generators. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. - Compliance:
Ensure all work complies with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and safety regulations. - Installation:
Install new generators and related equipment at customer sites according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in generator maintenance and repair is preferred. - Experience:
Proven experience as a generator technician or similar role. Experience with Generac generators. (Preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of generator systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
