Heavy Equipment Operator

Wolverine Lawn Services is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team for the upcoming winter season. Operators play a vital role in keeping commercial properties safe and accessible during winter weather events.

This is a seasonal, on-call position with most work occurring overnight and during third-shift hours, depending on weather conditions. If you are reliable, safety-focused, and experienced with heavy equipment, we encourage you to apply and help us deliver exceptional service throughout the winter.

• Operate loaders, skid steers, and other assigned heavy equipment to clear, push, pile, and relocate snow at commercial properties
• Follow site maps and operational plans to ensure thorough and efficient snow removal
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
• Monitor equipment fuel, fluids, tires, and warning lights during shifts
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and Zone Leaders throughout each event
• Complete service logs and upload required site photos as directed
• Protect buildings, vehicles, landscaping, and other property features from damage
• Maintain safe and professional work practices at all times

• Previous experience operating loaders, skid steers, or similar heavy equipment
• Snow removal experience preferred
• Strong spatial awareness and commitment to safety
• Ability to work in snow, ice, darkness, and low-visibility conditions
• Reliable and able to report promptly when called for snow or ice events
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Capable of working independently and as part of a coordinated team

$24–$35 per hour
, based on experience and equipment operated. This is a seasonal, weather-dependent, on-call position. Shift lengths and weekly hours will vary depending on winter weather conditions, with extended shifts possible during major storms.
