Industrial Electrician 2nd Shift

Position: Industrial Electrician 2nd Shift 2:00pm-10:00pm

Job Summary:

Dextech has immediate openings for Industrial Electricians in our Electrical Department. We are seeking candidates with strong electrical skills, a willingness to grow, and excellent attendance.

These are second-shift positions, though training is typically completed on the first shift. Please note that the manufacturing environment is subject to seasonal temperature changes, where it can be hot during the summer months and cooler during the winter months.

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining and installing industrial equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Duties/Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting specifications and blueprints.

Experience in industrial motor controls and control circuits.

Troubleshooting manufacturing equipment with machine operator support.

Install and repair conduit, wire, and fixtures per current NEC code.

Preventive maintenance activities to keep machinery running in best condition.

Growth & Advancement:

Employees are eligible for a $0.50 per hour wage increase every 90 days until they reach the top rate for their department.

Up to $11.81/hour in additional premium pay available for those with a valid Journeyman License.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls.

Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics and their integration to electrical controls

Needs to be self disciplined, self motivated, organized and committed to continuous improvement.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

A State Journeyman Electrician License is preferred. Equivalent experience in a manufacturing plant environment will be considered

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing or walking

Comfortable working on the manufacturing shop floor.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

Occasional crawling and twisting

Ability to frequent bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, kneel,and push/pull throughout the day.
