MOTAN INC is looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician/Engineer to join our team in Plainwell, MI. This is a hands‑on role where you'll be the critical link between our customers and our technical solutions for plastic resin handling equipment, ensuring satisfaction at every touchpoint. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers in person, by phone, and via email
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct on‑site service calls and installations at customer facilities
• Document service activities, maintenance records, and customer interactions accurately
• Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to resolve complex technical issues
• Train customers on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and escalate unresolved issues appropriately

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electro‑mechanics or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a technical service, field service, or customer support role
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑first mindset
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Proficiency with service management software and basic computer applications
• Willingness to travel locally for on‑site customer service visits as needed
