Program Overview
SEMCO Energy provides meaningful summer employment to qualified students based on the Company’s business needs. Placement is based on the student’s college rank, qualifications, career goals, prior relevant work experience, and performance evaluation.
Program DurationThe Summer Student Program will run through August 28th, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements- Student must be driving and possess a valid driver’s license for at least a year and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Safe Driving Policy.
- Student must be a child of an active employee, disabled employee, retiree, or referral.
- Only one student per eligible employee or retiree will be hired as a summer employee annually.
- A maximum of four years of employment is available for each eligible student.
- The last three restrictions may be waived based on business needs or geographic availability.
The hourly wage for Summer 2026 is $18/hour.
