Full‑time school social worker for a 39‑week contract in Michigan, supporting PK‑12 students across general and special education settings. The role focuses on behavioral assessments, intervention planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote student well‑being.
Key Responsibilities:Provide school social work services to district students across PK‑12 programs in a district‑wide general education and special education setting.
Participate in IEP/MDR/MET/CST team meetings and contribute to evaluation, documentation, and intervention planning.
Conduct behavioral assessments and collaborate on behavior and mental health interventions using evidence‑informed strategies.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional recordkeeping/compliance documentation for students and services.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student academic and emotional needs, including consultation support for additional students.
Social worker licensed through the Michigan Department of Education with an MSW in progress or equivalent educational preparation.
1+ year of paid school social worker experience in a full caseload role.
Experience supporting a district‑wide PK‑12 caseload, including general and special education across multiple buildings.
Active MDOE school social work license and legal eligibility to work in the United States on a W2 basis.
Ability to conduct behavioral assessments and develop intervention plans.
Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and participation in IEP/MDR/MET/CST processes.
Proficiency in SEL, MTSS, PBIS, crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and CBT‑based techniques.
Strong confidentiality and compliance recordkeeping practices.
Willingness to travel and cover multiple buildings as needed.
