As a Behavioral Intervention Coach, you'll play a key role in supporting children's social-emotional development and helping classroom teams create positive, successful learning environments. Working closely with children, families, and Head Start/Early Head Start staff, you'll provide coaching, consultation, and behavior support strategies that help every child thrive.

In this role, you will:

• Partner with teachers, families, and program staff to identify and address children's behavioral and social-emotional needs.
• Observe children in classroom and home settings and help develop individualized support strategies.
• Facilitate Positive Behavior Support planning and connect families with community resources when needed.
• Coach and train staff in evidence-based behavior support, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning.
• Support the implementation of classroom practices that promote positive behavior and healthy development.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure children and families receive the support and services they need.
• Maintain accurate documentation, confidentiality, and program requirements.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Most importantly, you'll help children build the skills they need to succeed while supporting families and educators in creating nurturing, inclusive learning environments.

Requirements

What We'll Love About You:

• Bachelors Degree in mental health or social work field and two (2) years experience in serving young children and their families OR Bachelor's Degree with a ZA endorsement or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood - General and Special Education ZS endorsement or Bachelor's degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education (major) with specialization in preschool teaching is required.
• Masters Degree in mental health or social work field with one year experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families is preferred.
• Licensed or certified in the field of psychiatry, psychology, family counseling, social work or mental health counseling including infant mental health is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Michigan driver license is required.
• Complete TPOT Reliability within one year of hire and maintain updated credential.

The chosen applicant will be required to submit fingerprints for a State of Michigan Background Check to determine eligibility for employment. You must possess an acceptable form of identification prior to attending your fingerprinting appointment. Preferred  include:
Unexpired State issued driver's license; identification card with photo issued by a Federal or Michigan Government Agency. Failure to submit fingerprints will result in an ineligibility for hire within this program.
