At Wellspring Lutheran Services, we're looking for a Foster Care Licensing Team Lead who is passionate about strengthening foster families while helping fellow professionals grow in their careers.

In this role, you'll continue partnering with prospective and licensed foster families while serving as a mentor, trainer, and resource for licensing staff. You'll help ensure foster families are equipped for success, licensing standards are upheld, and children have access to safe, stable, and nurturing homes. Most importantly, you'll help create the foundation that allows children in foster care to heal, grow, and thrive.

What Your Impact Will Look Like You'll guide prospective foster families through one of the most meaningful decisions they may ever make: opening their home to a child in need. You'll help families understand the licensing process, assess their readiness, identify strengths, and prepare for the rewards and challenges of foster parenting. You'll conduct home studies, evaluations, and ongoing support activities that help ensure foster homes are prepared to provide safe, nurturing care.

You'll play an important role in recruiting, training, and retaining foster fam ilies, helping expand the network of homes available to children who need them most. You'll serve as a mentor and resource for licensing staff, helping new team members develop confidence, strengthen their assessment skills, and navigate complex situations. You'll provide guidance on documentation, home studies, training, licensing requirements, and challenging cases while helping maintain consistency and quality across the team.

Some days you'll be conducting home visits, facilitating foster parent training, or helping a family navigate the licensing process. Other days you'll be coaching a new staff member, reviewing documentation, assisting with a challenging situation, or celebrating the licensing of a family that will soon welcome a child into their home. Every day, your work helps create opportunities for children to experience stability, belonging, and hope.
