Social Worker in Fruitport, MI

Make a positive impact as a contract School Social Worker supporting students with diverse behavioral and academic needs. This full-time opportunity runs from now through mid-October to cover a maternity leave, providing vital services at multiple local schools. Youll work on-site Monday through Friday, collaborating with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive, supportive environment for students facing unique challenges.

Your work will focus on helping students develop essential skills for success, connecting families with important resources, and supporting school communities at Orchard, Oakridge, and Ravenna. • Current Michigan School Social Worker license (cannot be supervised in this setting; must be fully credentialed)
• Proven experience providing support to students with a variety of behavioral and academic needs
• Strong communication skills for working with diverse students, families, and school teams
• Ability to adapt interventions for individual student requirements
• Understanding of educational systems and experience in a school-based role is highly desirable

• Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide counseling for students with identified needs
• Collaborate with educational staff to implement behavioral supports and academic interventions
• Serve as a resource for families, connecting them with community services and supports
• Maintain timely, accurate records of services provided and student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on behavioral intervention strategies
