Working Student (M/F/D) - Production/Petroleum Engineering

Rosenxt opens up a world of opportunities and offers students like you the chance to contribute to exciting, future-oriented projects. For our Upstream Optimization business area, we are looking for a committed working student.

Upstream Optimization is an innovative business area within the Rosenxt Group. Since its spin-off in 2023, the team has focused on expanding into new business fields and developing advanced technologies for more efficient energy production. Our state-of-the-art flow measurement sensor is a non-intrusive clamp-on system that collects extensive operational process data in real time. To analyse this data, we develop cloud-based software solutions that combine established signal-processing algorithms with artificial intelligence.

In our interdisciplinary, agile and autonomous teams, we turn innovative ideas into practical customer value.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support the development of data-driven optimization solutions for gas-lift operations, production allocation and full-field production performance.
  • Contribute to models and algorithms that account for pipeline-network effects, operational constraints and interactions between wells and the reservoir.
  • Help improve gas-lift design, injection-depth optimization and production-flow prediction.
  • Support the further development of virtual-metering and nodal-analysis tools to estimate production rates from operational data.
  • Assist with the automation, validation and quality assurance of engineering and operational data used in our optimization workflows.
  • Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to translate production-engineering challenges into practical, scalable software solutions.
Your Profile
  • You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Production Engineering or a comparable degree program.
  • You bring solid programming skills in Python.
  • First experience with production-system and pipeline-network simulation tools such as PROSPER, GAP or PIPESIM would be an advantage.
  • You communicate confidently in English, work in a structured and independent manner, and enjoy collaborating with others.
  • You are eager to share knowledge, take responsibility and contribute your ideas within an agile, interdisciplinary team.
Look Forward To
  • We take the time to involve you in our projects and give you meaningful insights into our work.
  • You will be supported and mentored by an experienced team.
  • You will become part of a motivated and highly qualified team.
  • You can actively shape your professional development in a supportive environment.
  • Together, we tackle the challenges of the future and develop solutions with lasting impact.
