Middle School Volleyball 7th and 8th Grade Coaches

Overview

Beagle Middle School is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as a Middle School Volleyball Coach. This full-time position involves fostering a supportive and competitive environment for student-athletes while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to the physical and emotional well-being of middle school students.

• Develop and implement practice plans that enhance the skills and techniques of student-athletes.
• Coach the team during practices, games, and tournaments, providing instruction and feedback to improve performance.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of the volleyball program, including scheduling practices and games, managing equipment, and coordinating travel arrangements.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, inclusion, and collaboration among players and coaching staff.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school administration regarding team progress, player development, and any concerns.
• Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and promote a balance between athletics and academics.
• Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state regulations related to athletics.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote overall athletic programs at Beagle Middle School.
• Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay updated on best practices and new developments in the sport.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all participants, addressing any safety concerns promptly.

• Previous coaching experience, particularly at the middle school or high school level, is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, rules, and strategies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and school community.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for practices and games as required.
