Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional at Lakes of the North Golf Club is an entry-level, seasonal position designed for an individual pursuing a career in the golf industry. This role provides hands‑on experience across all areas of golf operations while working closely with the Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional and senior staff.

The Assistant Golf Professional will play an important supporting role in daily operations, member and guest services, tournaments, and instruction, while developing the skills and knowledge necessary for long-term growth in the profession. This position is ideal for a motivated, coachable individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a team‑oriented golf environment.

• Assist with daily golf shop and course operations
• Support the Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional with operational tasks as assigned
• Maintain professional standards of service, appearance, and conduct
• Open and close the golf shop as scheduled

• Provide friendly, attentive service to members and guests
• Assist with tee time management, check‑in, and point‑of‑sale transactions
• Respond to questions and assist in resolving customer concerns

• Assist with the setup and execution of leagues, tournaments, and outings
• Support scoring, registration, pairings, and on‑course duties
• Help ensure smooth event flow and pace of play

• Assist with merchandising displays and restocking
• Help with inventory organization and retail presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop
