SUMMARY
Responsible for the outside operation near the bag drop area ensuring that the guests receive proper service from our staff upon their arrival to the Clubhouse. Oversees the Bag Attendants and Range Attendants, and the work they perform making sure all guests golf clubs are carried and placed on clean golf cars, the bag drop area is organized, and club storage area is organized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet golfers and other guests with a smile as they arrive to the Clubhouse
- Oversee and operate the outside service operation and to see that it is being run properly and that every guest and member is being serviced at a 4-Diamond level
- Supervise and assign duties to the Bag Attendants, Range Attendants, Starters and Player Assistants
- Produce Weekly or bi-weekly schedules for Bag Attendants, Range Attendants, Starters and Player Assistants
- Report to the Assistant Golf Professional on how each Bag and Range Attendant is doing at his/her job and report and absences or tardiness
- Clean golf cars, golf clubs, carry golf clubs during extremely busy times when Bag Attendants are also busy with guests
- Maintain accurate and updated golf car maintenance log
- Enforce policies, rules, and regulations where a situation involves the outside service staff with the advice of the Assistant Golf Professional, Head Golf Professional and/or the Director of Golf Operations.
- Ensure that the cart barn is clean and organized and that the golf cars, rental clubs, guests clubs, and range balls are cleaned and stored properly every night
- Keep records on the number and condition of rental clubs, golf cars, rental shoes, and range balls, and to report any damages or shortages
- Work closely with the Starters and Player Assistants to ensure that all members and guest are being serviced properly
- Work closely with the Tournament Coordinator to make sure that all group outings are set up properly and in advance of the start of their events
- Be familiar with the scheduled play each day and to make sure that the outside service operation is prepared to handle the schedule
- Complete Employee Evaluations for Bag Attendants, Range Attendants
- Must follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook.
- Project a pleasant attitude to all guests, members and fellow Employees
- Promote other areas of the Resort including Spa, Retail, Rooms, Food and Beverage, etc…
- Ensure that all aspects of a positions responsibilities are included (manual labor, administrative tasks, supervisory duties, employee relations, etc)
- Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the Resort.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Director of Golf Operations, Head Golf Professional and/or Assistant Golf Professional
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years of Golf Operations experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to communicate at a high level with fellow employees and guests primarily through verbal skills. Must have a positive and friendly personality that leads by example.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for reporting any/all disciplinary action for Bag and Range Attendants, complete seasonal evaluations on those positions, plan and direct each day’s set-up for group activities, attend weekly Golf Operations Management meetings, and lead monthly Bag and Range Attendant meetings.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires standing and walking for long periods of time, while also running occasionally. Requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., often bending and lifting items with this weight.
