VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY COACH

Summary:
The Varsity Cross Country Coach will be responsible for leading and coaching the Coloma Varsity High School cross country team during the season. The coach will be responsible for developing the skills of each athlete, creating a positive team environment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all team members.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement practice plans that focus on building endurance, speed, and technique for each athlete
- Organize and lead team practices and competitions
- Foster a positive team environment that promotes teamwork, good sportsmanship, and respect for others
- Monitor and ensure the safety of all team members during practices and competitions
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and school administrators regarding team activities and progress
- Attend all required meetings and trainings related to the position
- Maintain accurate records of team and individual performance

Requirements:
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of cross country training techniques and strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be available for all scheduled practices and competitions during the season
- Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
