Job Summary

We are looking for an Experienced Box Truck Driver for our new Warehouse. Drivers will deliver lumber, building materials, millworks, and other merchandise to customers' sites and our other locations. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and efficiently transport goods.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day.
• Load delivery vehicle with materials scheduled for delivery.
• Deliver materials to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Pick up materials along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
• Maintain basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Ensure that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; report larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Assist in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities

• Must maintain an active Class D or CDL license and Medical Card.
• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Education and Experience

• Valid Class D or CDL driver’s license, current medical card and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
