Bus Driver

We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team as a part-time bus driver for Gwinn Area Community Schools. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to safety.

• Safely operate a bus on assigned routes and ensure timely arrival and departure at designated locations
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, and ensure their safety while on board
• Maintain a clean and organized bus interior, including regular cleaning and sanitizing
• Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and other team members
• Keep accurate records of daily mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts
• Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have previous experience driving a bus or other large vehicle
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist passengers with disabilities if needed
• Must have a strong commitment to safety and follow all safety protocols and procedures
