Boom Truck Operator; Class B CDL

Houghton Building Supply has immediate openings for full-time Boom Truck Operators (Class B CDL) to join their team in Houghton, Michigan

• $20.00 – $25.00 per hour starting pay.

• Full-time position generally working Monday-Friday and periodic Saturdays.

• Deliver Building Materials. Safely transport products to job sites while keeping a clean driving record.
• Know Our Inventory. Help track stock and special orders in our yard, warehouse, and store.
• Work in the Yard. Assist with loading/unloading, organizing, and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ensure Order Accuracy. Double-check deliveries and invoices to keep everything running smoothly.
• Maintain Equipment & Fleet. Assist with upkeep on delivery trucks and yard equipment.
• Seasonal Maintenance. Help plow, shovel, and salt to ensure a safe worksite.
• Be a Friendly Face. Provide excellent customer service and assist customers when needed.

• Class B CDL and clean driving record required.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds with assistance, secure loads with straps, chains or other fasteners, and climb up and down from our trucks and trailers.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Experience with yard equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks) and building materials a plus.
• Strong attention to detail to keep yourself and others safe, as well as orders accurate.
• You enjoy customer service and interacting with others.
• You work effectively, meet deadlines, and show up for work on-time.
