Gravel Pit Operator/Laborer - Heavy Equipment Operator | Nashville, MI

If you're hardworking, safety-minded, and ready for steady work with a solid crew, come join our team as a Gravel Pit Laborer/Operator. This position involves operating equipment, general pit labor and helping keep the site safe and running smoothly.

• Operates various equipment such as loader, dozer, excavator, haul truck, skid steer to run materials through a wash plant or dry screener.
• Performs equipment maintenance.
• Inspection and production reporting as required for work area and equipment.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean.
• Performs plant maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Adheres to MSHA regulations and is conscious of preventing violations.
• Must be willing to work according to the company’s product demands.
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations.
• Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of a valid driver license
• Clean/safe driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
• Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, twist, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, stretch, drive/sit
• Must have excellent attendance records and be punctual
• Ability to work well with others on the team and have a positive attitude
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State and Federal regulations
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours; overtime work;
  Saturdays and nights may be required
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be comfortable with working in awkward positions or cramped spaces
