Connor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Delivery Driver/Warehouse position in Quincy, IL. We are looking for a career-minded person who is looking for a long-term position with a great company.

  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug testing.
  • Be available to work from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Process paperwork for all inbound freight including UPS and transfers
  • Scan all paperwork in the Eclipse system
  • Receives incoming material by entering actual items received versus quantities shown on packing slip
  • General warehouse clerical duties
  • Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition: check fluid levels and tire pressure: notify Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs
  • Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs
  • Loads delivery truck with product securely-avoid damages
  • Delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule
  • Uses cell phone to report on the progress of deliveries
  • Picks up returns items for the company
  • Verifies products delivered against packing slip and has customer sign receipt
  • Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • Process inbound materials to the warehouse. Compares quantities shown on packing slip or manifests with actual items received
  • Efficient and effective loading and unloading of trucks
  • Inspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goods
  • Ensures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse
  • Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and placing in a proper container or designated area
  • Assist customers at the counter
  • Perform other duties as requested
Minimum Education /Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Valid driver's license (Class C CDL required)
