Forklift Operator

Northern Staffing Services, in partnership with Lexa Mar Corporation of Boyne City, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a manufacturing facility. Competitive starting pay with benefits after probationary period.

Duties

• Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures while operating the forklift
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
• Knowledge of materials handling techniques
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
• Must have 3rd shift availability

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay:
From $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Required)
• Forklift: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
