The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials with the occasional load of trusses or panels to job sites and customers. This position supports the production and yard teams to ensure timely, accurate, and damage-free deliveries while representing the company professionally in the field.
Principle Accountabilities:- Safely operate a CDL-class vehicle to transport building materials to and from customer sites.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Assist with loading, securing, and unloading materials using appropriate equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, production, and yard personnel to coordinate deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Support yard operations when not driving (material handling, staging, or cleanup as needed).
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in compliance with safety and company standards.

- Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
- Manual Endorsement preferred (but not limited to).
- Experience operating flatbed or boom trucks preferred.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Knowledge of building materials or truss delivery is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Work performed primarily outdoors and in a manufacturing yard environment.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Frequent climbing, lifting, and securing of large or awkward materials.
- Regular operation of moffetts, forklifts, flatbeds, and heavy equipment in busy yard areas.
- Early morning start times with occasional overtime based on delivery schedules.
- Job sites may include uneven terrain and active construction environments.
