We are currently seeking detail-oriented and reliable individuals to join our team as Temporary Part-Time Insect Packers in our Insect Department at our Durand facility. We are hiring three (3) individuals for this role. As a member of the Insect Department, you will help ensure our customers receive healthy, accurately packed insects that support animal care and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include maintaining insect inventory, creating and caring for fruit fly cultures and other insect colonies, receiving and repackaging insects into shipping-ready containers, rotating stock using FIFO methods, and using software to manage inventory. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who is passionate about insects, enjoys detail‑oriented work, and wants to be part of a collaborative, mission‑driven team at Josh’s Frogs.

• (3) Temporary Part-time Insect Packer position, 28 hours per week,
• $16.00/hour Starting Wages

• Maintain adequate stock levels of insects to meet customer demand
• Create, care for, and maintain fruit fly cultures and other insect colonies
• Receive insect units from suppliers and verify inventory accuracy
• Repackage insects into shipping-friendly containers
• Maintain proper first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory rotation on shelving
• Use inventory software to track and manage stock levels

• Must be comfortable navigating web-based applications and Google Workspace (GSuite); we use online systems for tasks ranging from clocking in/out to labeling packages
• Comfortable using a computer for daily work tasks
• Full dexterity in arms and hands
• Ability to pass a respirator medical evaluation and fit test
• Ability to repeatedly lift 30+ lbs
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of a full shift
• Must pass the nuts and bolts assessment

• Previous insect breeding experience
