E-COMMERCE FULFILLMENT SUPERVISOR SummaryThee Commerce Fulfillment Supervisor is a working supervisor responsible for leading the daily operations of the eCommerce fulfillment team, warehouse, inventory handling, order processing, and shipping activities. This role provides oversight and support as needed; primary responsibility is directing operations and team performance and has authority to direct personnel recommendations, including hiring, discipline, and termination, and performance evaluations and promotion recommendations with significant weight.
The Supervisor ensures customer orders move efficiently and accurately from order entry through shipment, inventory is organized and available, warehouse standards are maintained, and the team operates with a high level of quality, accountability, safety, and teamwork.
This hands‑on leader manages daily priorities, assists with workload as needed, supports and coaches team members, resolves operational issues, maintains accurate inventory practices, and partners with the eCommerce Program Manager and cross‑functional teams to support the continued growth of the service parts business.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time according to established service expectations.
- Conducts performance evaluations and provides promotion recommendations that carry significant influence in decision‑making
- Leads workforce planning efforts, aligning staffing levels with operational needs and long‑term business goals
- Contributes to staffing and scheduling strategies to ensure efficient and effective resource utilization
- Owns key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, driving accountability and continuous improvement
- Spends the majority of time supervising team members, planning work, and identifying opportunities to improve operations
- Steps into day‑to‑day operational tasks as needed to support coverage, training, and peak demand periods
- Monitor daily order queues, open orders, backorders, shipping priorities, and workload to keep orders flowing in and out of the department.
- Coordinate daily labor priorities and team assignments based on order volume, receiving activity, inventory needs, and business priorities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment that supports accurate fulfillment and professional operating standards.
- Ensure eCommerce inventory is properly received, labeled, stored, picked, packed, transferred, and adjusted in accordance with established processes.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies, stock issues, missing parts, damaged items, and transaction errors.
- Ensure all inventory and order transactions are completed accurately in ERP system.
- Maintain packaging, shipping supplies, consumables, and other materials needed for operations.
- Ensure quality, shipment accuracy, branding requirements, and carrier standards are met.
- Train, coach, and support fulfillment team members to ensure they understand expectations, follow processes, and perform work safely and accurately.
- Monitor team attendance, productivity, quality, communication, and adherence to company policies and department standards.
- Lead daily check‑ins or team meetings to communicate priorities, performance, safety topics, process changes, and operational issues.
- Identify process issues, workflow bottlenecks, quality concerns, and recurring errors; recommend and implement practical improvements.
- Support seasonal volume changes, business growth, and special initiatives by helping plan labor, space, workflow, and fulfillment capacity.
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, fulfillment, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or a related operational role.
- Prior experience leading, training, or supervising employees in a warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, or service parts environment preferred.
