Warehouse Department Manager at FHI oversees warehouse operations, including supervision of associates, assignment coordination, safety compliance, and administrative reporting.
Responsibilities- Direct associates to perform operations safely and efficiently.
- Use daily huddles with associates to communicate procedures and assignments.
- Coordinate work assignments and ensure timely completion.
- Communicate with associates, host management, transportation partners, and FHI leadership to meet performance and safety goals.
- Handle hiring, promotions, and terminations of associates.
- Implement performance improvement changes.
- Maintain safety mindset through daily safety inspections, adherence to safety policies, EHS safety audits, and reporting potential safety threats.
- Ensure safeguard measures are followed to keep the work area clean and debris‑free.
- Mentor and train new associates and subordinate team members as part of succession planning.
- Perform load verification for accuracy.
- Enforce Kronos time‑keeping policies, perform audits, and approve time.
- Accountable for successful completion of daily load assignments.
- Remain flexible to changes at management's discretion.

- Experience: Experience receiving or unloading in a warehouse; 1+ year leadership experience preferred.
- Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of logistics preferred; ability to speak and write English, basic math skills, attention to detail, and supervisory capability.
- Must have: Valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
- Designated safety‑sensitive position requiring constant alertness in a warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures.
- Lift cases weighing 25 to 95 pounds; operate warehouse/material moving equipment.
- Perform frequent lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and squatting.
- Use standard office equipment and maintain vision focus on computer screens for most of the day.
- Work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold extremes.
