Summary DescriptionThe Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee and assist Plant Warehouse Managers with KPI data, point out trends, and drive Process Improvement to enhance metrics. Responsibilities include managing the Warehouse KPI Data Tracker and Scorecard, administering Warehouse Gap Analysis audits to ensure Refresco Warehouse Standards are met, bridging gaps with Plant Warehouse Managers, assisting in the setup of 3PL warehouses and training associates, playing a key role in SAP implementations at plants, working with the Senior Manager of Operations on pallet handling requirements, and overseeing the implementation of the Web‑based Dock Schedule with training and functionality support.
EssentialFunctions
- Adhere to all health, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure adherence to food quality and safety standards per applicable regulations.
- Schedule, communicate, and plan warehouse audits, ensuring timely completion.
- Document audit gaps and establish follow‑up and completion dates.
- Report and communicate audit scores quarterly.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Managers on developing required documents and share across the network.
- Model company values, standards, and practices.
- Maintain the Warehouse KPI Scorecard and update the Tracker as needed.
- Analyze KPI data and trends; work with managers to reverse negative trends and recognize positives.
- Complete the weekly KPI Scorecard, chart data, and submit to the Senior Manager.
- Monitor the Web‑Based Dock Schedule mailbox for carriers, interacting with the Operations Analyst for setup and utilization.
- Plan logistics with trucking firms to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while minimizing freight costs.
- Support SAP implementation for warehouse activities.
- Develop policies, procedures, and SOPs to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
- Train 3PL providers in SAP warehouse operations; coordinate integration with Refresco Warehouse Manager for inventory relocation, shuttle operation, and loading processes.
- Manage Dunnage and Void filler budget and usage in applicable warehouses and freight lanes.
Manager
- Lead and direct other employees, managing hiring, performance evaluation, and termination.
- Provide training, instruction, and performance evaluations.
- Guide employees on standards and expected outcomes.
- Plan and evaluate performance, staff development, recruitment, and contribute to pay recommendations.
- Leadership – foster empowerment, build trust, and inspire growth with a clear, ambitious vision.
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint.
- Proven leadership in a production environment.
- Experience with budgeting and financial processes.
- Excellent communication and team‑building skills.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, initiative, independence, customer service, and flexibility.
- High accountability, quality focus, and innovation; ability to develop and document improvements.
- Organized prioritization and multitasking abilities.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field; APICS designation an asset.
- 7+ years relevant warehouse logistics management experience.
- Physical- Continuous standing or walking; lift or handle moderate‑weight material.
- Visual/Sensory- Requires moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
- Work environment- Very repetitive.
- Mental Stress- Pronounced pressure from deadlines, quotas, and accuracy demands.
- Home‑based with approximately 20% travel to U.S. and Canadian plants.
- Ability to travel internationally (passport required).
- Flexible schedule to meet project deliverables.
