Shift Schedule
Night shift position, hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The role follows a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off. Team members work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Job PurposeResponsible for the full goods put away of all products off of the palletizers and supplies for finished goods. Assists with other warehouse operational activities as time allows, such as receiving raw materials, loading dunnage trailers, case pick, finished goods load out, inventory cycle counting, chemical receiving, and miscellaneous other duties.
Responsibilities- Reports to and follows the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Production Supervisors.
- Operates a variety of forklifts safely.
- Puts away all palletized products from the palletizers in the proper location, neat and orderly.
- Maintains proper first‑in, first‑out rotation, inventory of supplies, and assigned items.
- Ensures all finished goods orders are properly shipped; all necessary paperwork is filled out and computer documentation registered.
- Checks incoming full goods orders and determines inventory coverage; consults management if needed.
- Ensures all case pick orders are accurately picked and shipped; all paperwork is complete and documented.
- Checks incoming dry and raw material orders and determines inventory placement; consults management if no space available.
- Assures the warehouse stays clean and orderly at all times; follows the master sanitation schedule.
- Ensures all supplies and inventory items remain 18 in. from the walls.
- Ensures the warehouse remains audit‑ready at all times.
- Conducts monthly and yearly inventories.
- Assists the palletizer operator with loading pallets for consistent operation.
- Communicates warehouse operations to management verbally and in writing.
- Confirms product quality with the QA Department prior to shipping if expedited and not passed release protocol.
- Assures that all products meet customer requirements.
- Inspects all trailers prior to loading; trailers must be clean and free of debris; does not load damaged products or trailers.
- Ensures all dock locks engage and wheels are chocked.
- Maintains the receiving area clear of debris and clean.
- Removes manufacturing refuse material from the production floor.
- Aids in training new personnel.
- Follows all safety, working, and GMP rules.
- Performs duties assigned by management.
- Works safely and efficiently; follows safety procedures including safety equipment.
- Troubleshoots small problems and discerns when higher‑level input is needed.
- Asks for assistance when processes are unclear.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic computational skills; simple math and reasoning.
- Operates equipment effectively after break‑in period.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an Industrial Truck Operator License.
Physical Requirements
Warehouse operator stands throughout shift, sits a quarter of shift while operating an industrial truck, walks on uneven concrete and tile surfaces. Lifts up to 60 lbs frequently and 80 lbs occasionally; two or more employees lift >80 lbs. Pushes/pulls bags, uses brooms and mops, bends and stoops occasionally. Squats to pick up product or during cleanup. Climbs/reaches below or above shoulder level. Frequent hand and finger manipulation.
