Job Summary:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of outgoing shipments, ensuring products are accurately packed, labeled, and shipped on time. This role works closely with warehouse staff, carriers, and customer service to ensure timely and efficient delivery while maintaining proper documentation and compliance with shipping regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule daily shipments with carriers and freight companies
Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading (BOL's), packing slips, and shipping labels
Verify orders for accuracy, packaging requirements, and delivery instructions
Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory movement
Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and inbound shipments as needed
Ensure shipping area is organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
Former production or quality experience is a plus
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; logistics or business coursework a plus
Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills,
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with shipping software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift preferred)
- Ability to stand and climb up and down a ladder, lengthy time sitting or standing in one area
