Job SummaryJoin Hygea Healthcare at our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Middle River, MD. We are looking for energetic nurses who want to be part of an innovative, technology‑driven program. Our nursing team works 12‑hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM and 7 PM–7 AM) and requires a weekend rotation. The compensation range is $33–$38 per hour.
Essential Job Functions- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
- Make nursing diagnoses of patients' medical status and recommend treatment options.
- Consult with medical and other behavioral healthcare staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
- Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
- Take vitals.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude toward residents, staff, and volunteers.
- Handle crises in a calm, supportive manner.
- Coordinate refills and new prescriptions with the staff physician.
- Inventory medications weekly (medication count).
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company, state, federal, and HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required.
- Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics.
- Document patient care services by charting in client and department records.
- Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care team by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem‑solving methods.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Current LPN License in the state of operations.
- High School Diploma and Licensed Practical Nurse diploma required.
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills; and participate in meetings.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
