- Ability to clearly communicate verbally or in writing with other managers or leaders at various management levels across the organization.
- Interface with the ERP system for material management: efficiently manage inventory, track material usage, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Optimize schedules and planning per business needs: coordinate with production teams to schedule kitting cell activities, prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Lead the kitting cell team: supervise and support team members to ensure productivity, quality and safety standards are met. Schedule work and personnel to meet production start dates and adapt when circumstances impede or delay the schedule.
- Understand the software required to manage all aspects of the kitting cell (training will be provided).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams: work closely with material planning, production control and engineering to streamline processes and resolve issues.
- Continuous improvement: identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve overall performance within the kitting cell.
- Maintain compliance: ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations and safety protocols at all times.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college with 3‑5 years of manufacturing or relevant experience; or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 7‑10 years of manufacturing or relevant experience.
- 1‑3 years of supervisory or progressive leadership experience; union management experience highly preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse experience highly preferred.
- Position involves access to export‑controlled technology requiring U.S. Person status or government authorization. U.S. Person includes U.S. citizens, nationals, green card holders or individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the U.S. Must provide proof of such status.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong ERP (SAP) knowledge preferred.
