Who WE Are And Where WE Are Going

At MRA Systems, our employees have amazing opportunities to work on advanced technologies and systems that support thousands of customers and millions of people worldwide every day. From the first flight across the Pacific Ocean to developing highly complex structures for the most popular aircraft in the world, we have come a long way always with a can‑do approach to problem solving while delighting customers with our high say‑do ratio.

We are looking for people with innovative ideas and the drive to help us grow into the future. A pioneer in the production and assembly of complex aerostructures including aircraft and rocket components, engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers and advanced composite products, we apply the latest digital technologies and automation in composite design and manufacturing that are second to none.

At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company’s expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as its materials and processing expertise.

What YOU Will Do
  • Determine size and type of container required, dimensions, kinds and sizes of wood and other materials used in fabrication of non‑standard and special shipping cradles, crates and boxes when such information is not specified.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications, patterns, etc., as required.
  • Plan sequence of operations and methods for fabricating container and for blocking, bracing and securing of contents for shipment.
  • Fabricate or direct the fabrication of containers by marking or scribing trim and cutting lines for cutting to length, ripping to width, cutting ends angles and making cut‑outs by taking measurements directly from items to be shipped or by making reference to blueprints and sketches for exact dimensions.
  • Fabricate domestic or export shipping containers for shipment of large, irregular shaped items which require deviation from standard procedure and when standard or stock size boxes and crates cannot be used.
  • Build special crating fixtures for shipping large items or other products, on various types of conveyances.
  • Direct and perform the operation of blocking, tying down, padding, securing and bracing of such items.
  • Work with the carrier to determine the loading, positioning and securing requirements per DOT with normal and oversize loads, whenever applicable by calculating and measuring the overall capacity of a specified carrier.
  • Work closely with company office traffic personnel to obtain carriers for outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure that load complies with carrier’s specifications; when deviations occur, notify Shipping Manager for disposition.
  • Confere with carrier and shipping manager to ensure shipping requirements have been maintained.
  • Maintain safety and compliance integrity in loading of shipments on carriers, including railroad cars, tractor trailers, and be responsible for proper packing, blocking and securing to prevent damage in transit.
  • Utilize overhead crane and/or variety of hand‑operated battery‑powered skid lifts: forklifts, tow motors, hand trucks, dollies, “A” frames, etc.
What YOU Must Bring To Succeed
  • HS diploma / GED equivalent.
  • Physical requirements as provided by third‑party assessments.
  • Able to repeatedly lift, up to but not limited, 30 pounds unassisted on a consistent basis.
