Job Description- Implement and adapt direct and explicit academic instruction across content areas using multi-sensory teaching and differentiated strategies, including modified content, methodology, and performance criteria as needed, as well as assistive/educational technology in a self-contained setting and in general education.
- Apply behavioral therapeutic techniques, including Applied Behavior Analysis, with a diverse student population.
- Collaborate with grade level classroom teachers, special education teachers, and specialists to provide comprehensive services to assigned students.
- Promote and assist in the implementation of research-based strategies to transition and generalize students’ academic and social goals across educational settings.
- Assess student progress toward objectives, expectations, and goals (behavioral, motor development, communication skills, academic needs, vocational abilities) and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.
- Serve as contact person for the caseload, completing paperwork, managing the Team process, and maintaining communication among teachers, specialists, families, and outside providers.
- Utilize classroom management strategies and a positive behavior intervention system to create a motivating instructional environment.
- Use a multidisciplinary approach to collect data for progress monitoring and drive instruction and lesson planning.
- Provide instruction using real-world, functional applications that support independent living and vocational skill development.
- Supervise designated paraprofessionals and coordinate schedules to comply with IEP requirements.
- Consult with staff and administration on instructional and student issues as an active team member.
- Have familiarity with the MCAS Alternate Assessment.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required.

Salary$56,641 to $107,414 Per Year

Job Requirements- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - MA Licensure as Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8) or as Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities (All Levels).
- SEI endorsement.
- Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks and integration into local curricula and instruction for reading, written language, mathematics, and functional skills.
- Knowledge and training in structured reading methodology preferred.
- Educational background or experience with differentiated instruction in inclusive and self-contained settings, including proven skills in classroom management and instructional strategies.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
