• Provide a comprehensive music curriculum that meets and /or exceeds Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
• Prepare and execute well-prepared lesson plans that are engaging for students
• Maintain and repair musical instruments and equipment
• Work collaboratively with other specialists with scheduling, curriculum, instruction and assessment
• Provide structure and routines with clear expectations to facilitate a safe and engaged environment for students
• Provide students with clear behavior expectations
• Provide instrumental lessons with groups of students
• Work closely with other music teachers to schedule and coordinate student performances
• Other duties as assigned by the Principals
• Experience/knowledge in teaching in extended time periods
• Strong organizational, communication, and class management skills
• Knowledge of Music Technology

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $56,651 to $107,414 Per Year

• Massachusetts teacher certification in Music:
  Vocal/Instrumental/General, 1-5 Music
• Minimum Bachelor of Music degree at an accredited institution/Master’s degree preferred
• Experience working with a variety of student learning styles
• Experience in teaching for extended time periods
• Knowledge of Music Technology
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Master degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
