KLR Executive Search Group is pleased to partner with a leading Subcontractor with key offices in Middleborough, MA, and Jupiter, FL, to identify its Controller. This professional will be on-site in either location. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will be responsible for the company's day-to-day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Facilitate communication between project management teams and senior management regarding project status and timely project closeout.

The successful candidate will bring:

• Experience in the construction industry, including familiarity with job costing, project-based accounting, revenue recognition, and WIP schedule preparation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FP&A, and financial reporting requirements.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and financial reporting (including statement of cash flows).
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA and/or CCIFP preferred).
• A minimum of eight years of accounting/finance experience with at least four years in a controllership role.
