Ocean Spray is hiring for a Food Safety & Quality Supervisor! We are a farmer‑owned cooperative where everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done. The Food Safety & Quality Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring plant FSQA processes, managing process control and quality checks, evaluating quality reports, implementing corrective measures, leading Quality teams with training, coaching, managing project budgets, coordinating audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
ADay in the Life
- Monitors process control, raw and packaging materials, quality checks, and GMP compliance.
- Analyzes and evaluates various quality reports and trends, developing corrective actions and proactive plans.
- Provides training and coaching to assigned Quality Technicians and employees as required.
- Provides leadership in a continuous improvement environment to maximize operating efficiencies while adhering to all quality standards.
- Interacts with outside governmental agencies—USDA, FDA, and State Department of Agriculture—and coordinates internal audit requirements.
- Responsible for creating and managing assigned budgets.
- Performs other miscellaneous projects or duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of food/beverage quality systems experience.
- Ability to support a 24/7 operation.
- Ability to influence others in daily interactions.
- Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with employees at all levels.
- Appropriate business management acumen.
- Effective problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
Annual Salary: $65,700 – $90,310
The base salary range above is a guideline of the position’s typical hiring range.
