Laboratory Technician Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast Middleborough MA

Job Overview

Laboratory Technician I – Full-time, Monday to Friday 11:00 am – 8:00 pm. Avg. 40‑45 hrs.

Location:

Middleborough, MA (commutable distance). Compensation $19‑20 / hr (DOE).

• Follow laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receipt and handling of samples, preparation of samples, solutions, and reagents, and bottle preparation.
• Perform simple analyses or instrument utilization to provide data that will not be directly reported to a client.
• Perform sample custodial duties including inventory, storage, and disposal.
• After proper training, be accountable for accurate documentation in accordance with ESS Laboratory policy and SOPs.
• Assist chemists and other technicians as needed.
• Participate in the management of hazardous waste by ensuring it is properly stored and disposed of.
• Ensure proper disposal of samples, dig estates, extracts and reagents into satellite containers.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Meet all quality criteria as specified in the QA manual.
• Work and communicate with personnel in own and other departments.
• Be continually aware of and meet holding time/commitments required by external and internal clients.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned, including, but not limited to, clerical duties to support the team.

• Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field is preferred.
• Exceptional attentiveness to detail, with the ability to learn and understand technical terms.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work nights and weekends when needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Final candidates must pass pre‑employment background and drug screen requirements.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Acuity, near‑clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.
• Standing, stooping, walking, bending, reaching, pulling and pushing.
• Use of chemicals.
