We are seeking an experienced Fence Foreman to lead fence installation crews on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The Foreman is responsible for supervising daily field operations, coordinating labor and materials, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining production schedules, and enforcing safety standards on the job site.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise fence installation crews on active job sites.
- Read work orders, plans, and layout measurements; verify site conditions before installation.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, deliveries, and material staging to keep projects on schedule.
- Install and oversee installation of chain-link, wood, vinyl/PVC, aluminum, steel, and ornamental fencing (customize as needed).
- Set posts, check line and grade, and ensure fences are installed to company and customer specifications.
- Train and mentor crew members; assign tasks and monitor productivity.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety procedures; conduct daily job-site safety checks.
- Communicate with project managers, customers, and inspectors regarding progress, issues, and change orders.
- Complete daily reports, material usage logs, and timekeeping accurately.
- Troubleshoot field issues and maintain a clean, organized job site.
- 3–5+ years of fence installation experience, including crew leadership or foreman responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of fence layout, post setting, gates, hardware, and installation best practices.
- Ability to read plans, tape measurements, and grade/layout lines accurately.
- Experience operating common fencing equipment and power tools; skid steer, auger, or mini-excavator experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license; clean driving record preferred (CDL is a plus if applicable).
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
- Reliable, organized, and able to lead by example in a fast-paced field environment.
- Lift and carry 50–75+ lbs regularly.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, digging, lifting, and working on uneven terrain.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
