Del Prete Home Improvements is one of Massachusetts' premier exterior remodeling companies, and we're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee our growing Deck & Outdoor Living Division.

We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to build a deck—we're looking for a leader.

Someone who takes pride in their work, runs a clean organized jobsite, mentors younger carpenters, communicates professionally with homeowners, and consistently delivers the level of craftsmanship that has earned Del Prete Home Improvements hundreds of 5-star reviews.

Our current Lead Carpenter has been promoted to Master Carpenter
, where he now oversees scheduling, estimating, material ordering, and quality control. We're looking for the right individual to step into the field leadership role and continue building one of the best deck crews in Massachusetts.

Our deck division currently consists of 7 carpenters
, and we're booked through the end of 2026. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career—not just another job.

Our primary focus is custom outdoor living spaces including:

• PVC, Pressure Treated & Hardwood Decks
• Screen Rooms & 3-Season Rooms
• Pergolas & Covered Structures
• Porch Renovations
• Window & Door Installations
• Miscellaneous Carpentry & Exterior Repairs

Our crew typically completes 4–6 deck projects each month
, allowing us to focus on craftsmanship instead of rushing through jobs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) – REQUIRED
• Minimum 10 years of framing and carpentry experience
• Proven ability to lead and organize a crew
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A clean, organized work style
• Dependable transportation
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to teach and mentor newer carpenters
• We have all the tools needed, but you should have all your own personal hand tools

If you meet these requirements, have extensive deck-building experience, and can hit the ground running, compensation will reflect your experience.

• Lead and supervise the field crew
• Follow project direction from our Master Carpenter
• Coordinate daily workflow and assign tasks
• Train and mentor apprentice carpenters
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Communicate professionally with homeowners from project start through completion
• Complete all required paperwork and project documentation
• Maintain Del Prete's 5-star quality standards
• Solve problems in the field while keeping projects on schedule
• Ensure every project is completed correctly the first time

• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Overtime available as needed

$40-$48 per hour

Pay is based on experience, leadership ability, licensing, deck-building experience, and tools.

• Weekly pay via direct deposit

Most of our work is between Quincy, Mansfield, and Bourne
, with occasional travel outside those areas for select projects.
