Description
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support a growing operation in Middleborough, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of diesel and non-diesel vehicles and equipment, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.
This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and keeping equipment in top condition.
Pay & Schedule- Middleborough, MA
- $30 — $40/hr (based on experience)
- Afternoon shift starting at 12 noon-830pm
- Full or part time
- Overtime available (including nights/weekends)
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including small engine repairs
- Troubleshoot using computer diagnostics tools
- Coordinate outsourced repairs with external vendors when needed
- Maintain accurate repair records, work orders, and purchase orders
- Ensure all vehicles meet inspection and registration requirements
- Travel to job sites as needed to perform repairs
- Communicate effectively with drivers and team members regarding equipment status
- 2 years of diesel engine repair experience
- 3 years of overall mechanical experience
- Experience with computer diagnostics (required)
- Strong understanding of diesel systems and hydraulics
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Strong communication skills
- CDL A
- Experience with electrical systems and air brakes
- Knowledge of DOT inspections (Level
1)
