Job Summary
The financial aid coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Financial Aid and provides financial aid services and public information regarding financial aid programs to student, parent and the general public. Coordinator provides loan advisement to students and has an understanding of state and accrediting body regulations as they apply to Title IV and other financial aid programs.
Responsibilities and Duties- Ensures that all students have completed MPN, entrance and exit counseling if needed.
- Monitors and evaluates satisfactory academic progress of students.
- Maintains financial aid files.
- Assists students with withdrawals and leave of absence.
- Tracks student progress on financial aid packages.
- Creates payment plans for students with shortfalls and passes it along to the business office.
- Participates in annual training and professional organizations to keep abreast of new information and program changes to be implemented.
- Provides financial aid counseling to students and parents regarding all aspect of the financial aid or veteran’s process. Make necessary referrals to other student service officers.
- Conducts verification of student and parent application data in compliance with federal criteria.
- Work and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

- Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary.

- Superior language and interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive attitude focused on student satisfaction.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and related software (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills are essential.
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Associate degree (Preferred)
- Title IV processing: 1 year (Required)
- Office work: 3 years (Required)
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a related field
- Middleburg Heights, OH (Preferred)
