Position: LPN - License Practical Nurse Pediatric Skilled Nursing in Lorain County

About the Position

We're hiring dedicated, dependable Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for permanent, ongoing positions — not PRN or occasional work. This role is ideal for LPNs who want steady, meaningful engagement with pediatric clients and are ready to provide specialized care, including all ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting) and medication administration via J‑Tube
. Our 24/7 support model ensures you're never alone in the field and always backed by a responsive, reliable office team.

The schedule for this position is 8 hours a day, Monday through Sunday
, making it a great opportunity for LPNs seeking consistent pediatric care shifts while making a meaningful difference in a child's health and daily life. We're looking for nurses who bring both flexibility and true commitment.

At Bright Star Care, we hire people who genuinely live by The Golden Rule — treating every client and colleague with the same respect and kindness they expect for themselves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care, assisting with all ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting) while ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications via J‑Tube accurately and monitor for tolerance, side effects, and effectiveness.
  • Monitor overall health and development of pediatric clients, reporting changes to the supervising healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided.
  • Follow individualized care plans to ensure clients' safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the healthcare team regarding care and progress.
  • Adhere strictly to all infection control, safety, and hygiene protocols.
  • Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care in a home health setting.
  • Work consistent 8‑hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, providing reliable, ongoing pediatric care.
