Sr. Nondestructive Test Technician
Provide critical quality assessment for products at all stages of manufacture, using mechanical, chemical and metallurgical testing techniques.
LocationMiddleburg Heights, OH
Salary$29.00 - $32.00 per hour
Responsibilities- Prepare test specimens and conduct PT, MT, and/or UT on materials and welds.
- Review purchase orders, job routers, and internal test orders; audit test orders against customer requirements or industry standards.
- Perform and document all testing in accordance with Test Orders and governing specifications.
- Monitor and log time spent on each job, maintaining accurate job activity records.
- Maintain process control of material and job activity throughout testing.
- Conduct visual and dimensional examinations of parts and assemblies.
- Identify defects using ultrasonic testing techniques and produce radiographic images.
- Prepare reports detailing non‑destructive testing results.
- Select, calibrate, and operate equipment used for non‑destructive testing of products or materials.
- Evaluate root causes of testing failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Technical or trade school education preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in quality control or related testing environments.
- Experience with PT, MT, UT testing processes and understanding of ASTM/ASME and related standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting industry and customer specifications.
- Ability to use common hand and bench measurement tools accurately.
- Knowledge of safety practices for handling materials in quality environments.
- Experience in a machine shop environment desired; knowledge of machining capabilities a plus.
- Experience or exposure to the commercial nuclear power generation industry desired.
- Knowledge of fastener specifications desired.

- Position may involve export‑controlled information (ITAR/EAR); successful applicant will undergo additional security screening.
