Job Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to sell the company's residential pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business. You will be the face of our national brand in your local community and clients will count on you to protect their homes and families.
Responsibilities- Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and other indicators.
- Based on assessment findings, sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for residential customers.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to increase opportunities.
- Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams within the current base and engage service specialists.
- Develop proposals that resolve existing pest issues and propose additional enhancements to household services.
- Create a home diagram using the Sales CRM to illustrate customer home layout and potential challenges.
- Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
- Provide expert knowledge to new service installations to ensure completion to satisfaction.
- Complete daily activity and sales performance entries using the company sales CRM.
- Physical demands: move up to 10lbs. regularly and 11–20lbs. often; lift, carry, push, pull, reposition objects.
- Regular movement: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, going up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles.
- Maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely and keep it, along with equipment, clean.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator when required; work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Handle different pests (spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents, etc.) and enter small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, attics.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license from current state of residence.
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; sales experience or related training preferred.
- Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
- Travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory.
Base Pay Range: $18.00 – $21.60 per hour (agrees vary by location, skills, education, experience). Total earnings may include overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment.
