SCORE, LLC in Middlebury, CT is currently hiring a full time front desk receptionist. Candidate is responsible for front desk duties Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. This includes scheduling appointments, contacting new patients, collecting copays, setting up new patient accounts in the system, setting up gym memberships, scanning, faxing, answering phones, helping patients complete intake paperwork, and performing other various office duties as required.
Prior medical office experience is helpful. Must be able to multitask and work independently. Able to work under pressue. Detail-oriented a must.
Part-time
- Booking patient appointments, recording and scanning information in the proper location.
- Contacting outside facilities and processing related paperwork, such as other physician offices, hospitals, and surgical centers, and providing them with the necessary information.
- Following up on patients to ensure necessary appointments have been completed.
- Contacting patients with pertinent information regarding their scheduled appointments.
- Preparing paperwork and other documents as needed for the therapist.
- Addressing patient concerns and questions as needed.
- Additional hours may be available at our other locations to cover for other employees who have time off.
- Ability to multitask between scheduling appointments in person and over the phone.
- Demonstrated knowledge and compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Experience working on an EMR (electronic medical record) helpful. Prompt
EMR is our current software. - Must possess proficient computer skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with therapists and other staff.
- Must have excellent time-management skills.
- Must have outstanding professional medical phone communication skills and can coordinate with outside facilities to obtain patient medical information, following HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to relay information in a positive manner and calm patients, presenting solutions for their problems.
- Monday through Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (subject to change due to needs of the practice)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Medical receptionist: 2 years (Preferred)
