Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology

Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology , Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT. The Biology Department invites applicants for a full-time (2-year) appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology, beginning in Fall 2027. Applicants must have a Ph.D. by the position start date and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two lecture sections of an introductory course in ecology and evolution during one semester, and two lecture sections of an introductory course in cell biology and genetics during the other semester.

In the second year, the candidate will additionally teach a winter term elective course within their area of expertise that will serve the biology curriculum. Depending on research needs, a shared lab space may be available to the successful candidate if they wish to have an active research program.
