Middlebury College's Greenberg-Starr Department of Chinese invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in modern Chinese language, literature, and culture beginning Fall 2027. A Ph.D. in hand or expected by September 2027 is required; priority to literature and culture of the PRC including the 21st century.
Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin and English is essential. The typical teaching load is 2 fall courses and 2 spring courses plus a Winter Term course
