J.P. Carrara & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with expertise in precast/prestressed concrete and at least 5 years of industry experience for a full‑time, on‑site role in Middlebury, VT. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing precast and prestressed concrete components, performing structural calculations, overseeing project requirements, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Additional responsibilities include utilizing computer‑aided design (CAD) software to develop detailed plans and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications- Strong skills in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering with a focus on precast/prestressed concrete
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis and performing precise calculations
- Experience with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) software for drafting and detailing
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and industry standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on‑site team environment
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure (preferred)
